Summary
Prestige Staffing is seeking a compassionate and professional Bilingual Patient Service Representative to join our team at Jackson Memorial North Miami Beach. In this patient-facing role, you will assist patients with enrollment in charity care programs, manage paperwork, and coordinate eligibility processing. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish, possess medical terminology knowledge, and demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Requirements
- 3+ years of revenue cycle experience in hospital or vendor settings handling reimbursement
- 2+ years of recent experience with Florida Medicaid and disability claims
- Knowledge of community resources and HCAP experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), EMR systems (Epic preferred), Gateway and GAMMIS portals
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work closely with patients
- Comfortable working on the phone and in person
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to pass drug test, background check, health screening, and immunizations
Responsibilities
- Organize and process referral documentation and manage internal workflows
- Obtain and review referrals for eligibility and interview potential patients
- Conduct patient interviews, explain services, and set clear expectations
- Assist patients with enrollment applications, calling discharged patients as needed
- Communicate with physicians and community agencies to determine eligibility
- Gather all necessary documentation and ensure accuracy in hospital and company systems
- Follow up persistently until eligibility is secured and applications are complete
- Maintain detailed records and document interactions accurately
- Provide patient education on available services and resources
- Act as a liaison between patients, hospital staff, and case managers
- Support team in achieving compliance and operational goals
