Systems Analyst (Cerner Oracle)
Prestige Staffing is hiring for a permanent role in Chicago, IL. This role is hybrid and will require visiting more than one location within a month. Must be able to design & build in Cerner Millennium Scheduling and Oracle Scheduling or PowerChart configuration. This is a Mon-Fri role with wonderful benefits. Pay is $100,000 -115,000 based on years of experience and education.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize Cerner Millennium Scheduling to design, build, and document application changes.
- Perform Oracle Scheduling build or PowerChart configuration as required.
- Consult with end users on Scheduling design and build changes.
- Test software according to detailed specifications.
- Train less experienced personnel.
- Report project activity and status to management.
- Learn new clinical applications and oversee completion of tasks related to clinical system functions.
- Attend applicable vendor clinical application classes.
- Coordinate the resolution of user calls and determine appropriate action by investigating and analyzing reported hardware and software issues.
- Identify, analyze, track, and report project issues.
- Evaluate and assist senior management in the implementation of system upgrades.
- Analyze functional requirements documentation, conduct interviews with key personnel, and gather information about current system usage.
- Assist in the preparation of documentation and development of interface and conversion specifications.
- Act as liaison between departments and external areas as required.
- Schedule periodic meetings with IS, vendors, and users to ensure effective communication.
- Identify and encourage user department procedural improvements.
- Conduct workflow sessions with end users.
- Demonstrate system functionality to users.
- Perform system adaptations and modifications according to prepared specifications.
- Function as a project implementation manager for clinical system-related projects.
- Assist in developing departmental education and training materials.
- Monitor and review procedural materials.
- Refine sample test plans for conversions, interfaces, and applications.
- Assist in the development of Live Event Plans.
- Provide post-live application support.
- Work with Project Management to obtain required sign-offs.
- Complete assigned work plan tasks on schedule.
- Maintain tables, files, profiles, code sets, and related configuration components.
- Provide after-hours support for clinical applications as scheduled.
- Learn and assist with other applications as directed.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience with Healthcare Information Systems.
- Implementation project management experience and hands-on experience implementing vendor clinical application software.
- Minimum 4 years of build and maintenance experience with Cerner Millennium Scheduling.
- Knowledge of Cerner Millennium Scheduling, Oracle Scheduling build, or PowerChart configuration.
- Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Project management experience and familiarity with project management tools.
- Strong communication skills in a customer service-focused environment.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external hospital contacts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with client-server clinical systems preferred.
- Proficiency with personal computer hardware, software packages, and MS Office.
- Ability to complete project tasks and assignments on time.
- Applications programming experience is a plus.
