Location: Burr Ridge, IL - 5 days onsite 
Duration: Direct Hire 
Must Have's: Deep Cost Accounting, Manufacturing experience 

Summary
The Controller oversees the organization’s accounting functions, including cost management, payables, and financial reporting. 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• Minimum of 8 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing
• 3-5 years of experience with batch process standard cost systems
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, query writing (MS Query, AS/400), and data analysis tools like Power BI
• CPA preferred
• Experience with financial analytics, GL, and AP

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all accounting functions, including cost accounting, payables, and reporting
• Develop and maintain standard cost systems, ensuring accuracy in manufacturing cost analysis
• Manage the monthly and annual closing processes, including account reconciliations and financial statement preparation in compliance with US GAAP
• Enhance existing accounting procedures and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Analyze monthly manufacturing variances and explain findings to leadership
• Handle overhead allocation and absorption during volume fluctuations, considering routing and batch manufacturing factors
