Pay
Up to $70-75/hr (contract) / $110,000/year (permanent)
Location
Hybrid (preferably East Coast regions, but open to anywhere, requiring on-site 1 day a week)
Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to lead the management, support, and optimization of a large-scale Windows infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, PowerShell scripting, and VMware virtualization. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of experience managing large Windows Server environments
- Deep expertise in Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy management
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and process improvements
- Experience with VMware virtualization technology
- Knowledge of Windows security hardening, patching, and upgrades
- Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues
- Relevant certifications such as MCSE are preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Manage and support Active Directory including health, scalability, and security
- Design, implement, and maintain DNS infrastructure and security measures
- Develop and optimize Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for standardized configuration deployment
- Oversee and manage Certificate Authority processes and security controls
- Automate administrative tasks through PowerShell scripting
- Document system architecture, configurations, and procedures
- Maintain Windows security patches, updates, and system upgrades
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements
- Ensure systems are compliant with security standards and regulations
- Provide advanced technical support and mentorship to team members
