UX/UI Designer - Mid - Level
UX/UI Designer - Mid - Level
Pay: $130,000 - $150,000
Location: 100% Remote (NYC area preferred)
Summary:
Join a dynamic fintech startup as a Mid-Level UX/UI Designer, serving as the key partner to the Head of Product Strategy & Design. You will play a pivotal role in shaping enterprise-level, data-rich applications used by global financial institutions. As the second UX team member, you have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, influence design culture, and grow into a lead UX role within a swiftly scaling organization backed by a recent $70M investment.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of professional UX/UI design experience
- Proven experience designing web-based, complex, data-heavy B2B applications
- Strong portfolio demonstrating work on enterprise software or finance industry products
- Expertise in Figma is mandatory
- Solid understanding of usability principles, interaction design, and component-based design systems
- Ability to translate complex requirements into clear, scalable interfaces
- Self-motivated, organized, and adaptable to remote startup environments
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for complex dashboards, forms, workflows, and tables
- Develop wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes in Figma
- Contribute to and maintain design systems and component libraries to ensure consistency across the platform
- Apply UI and graphic design principles to improve the clarity and approachability of dense data and workflows
- Work closely with subject matter experts to validate and refine designs
- Assist with related design tasks such as marketing collateral and presentations
- Foster a strong UX culture within the team, sharing insights and best practices
- Take on increasing ownership of product design and contribute to the strategic evolution of user experience
