Job Title:
Information Security Analyst/Manager (Internal Systems & Monitoring)
Pay:
$150,000 - $165,000
Location:
Midtown, with a hybrid work schedule
Summary:
Join a dynamic organization as the first dedicated Information Security professional, focused on managing internal security systems, monitoring threat detection, and supporting compliance initiatives. This role offers an opportunity to cultivate your leadership skills and grow within a fast-paced, innovative environment. You will be central to establishing and maintaining the company's cybersecurity posture, working closely with IT and engineering teams to embed security best practices into daily operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing security tools such as SIEM, EDR, DLP, and firewalls
- Solid understanding of security principles and frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST
- Proven experience in responding to security questionnaires and conducting security audits
- Familiarity with network, cloud (AWS, Azure), and endpoint security
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- (Preferred) Experience with Azure, Microsoft tools, and relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+)
- (Preferred) Background in SaaS or fintech environments and knowledge of GDPR, CCPA compliance
Responsibilities:
- Configure, manage, and maintain internal security tools (SIEM, EDR, DLP, firewalls)
- Implement and oversee access control policies and vulnerability remediation
- Monitor internal systems for threats, anomalies, and unauthorized activity; investigate and respond to incidents
- Lead responses to client security questionnaires and coordinate audit activities
- Maintain documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident reports
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate security best practices
- Conduct internal security awareness training for employees
- Stay informed on emerging threats and recommend security improvements
- Support the development of the company’s security roadmap, with growth potential into leadership roles
