Sr. Software Engineer - Java
Senior Software Engineer - Java
Pay: $200,000 - $250,000 annually
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Java to join a dynamic team building high-performance technology solutions. This role involves developing and maintaining low latency trading systems, collaborating on architecture decisions, and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of critical applications. The ideal candidate is passionate about innovative technology, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to building robust, scalable solutions that drive growth and fairness in financial markets.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in Java development within low latency environments
- Experience with electronic trading systems, including FIX Protocol, market data feeds, and post-trade processing
- Proficiency with Linux operating systems
- Strong understanding of data structures, messaging APIs, and application recovery mechanisms
- Ability to participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle
- Excellent troubleshooting skills in production environments
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with technology and operations teams to shape system design and architecture
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Java application frameworks and APIs
- Manage the deployment, build, and dependency management processes
- Contribute to critical systems such as order entry, market data processing, and system monitoring
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues swiftly and effectively
- Support ongoing system improvements to ensure high performance and reliability
