Summary
Seeking a dedicated Customer Service Specialist to provide exceptional support during overnight weekends. This role involves handling inbound phone inquiries, dispatching work requests, monitoring environmental security systems, and assisting with workflow coordination in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering professional, courteous service while supporting departmental efficiency and process improvements. Candidates must be US citizens or permanent residents with at least one year of relevant experience and a high school diploma or GED. This is a minimum 6-month contract with shift hours from Thursday to Monday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, including a 30-minute lunch break.
Requirements
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of customer service or administrative support experience
- Proficient in English (reading and writing)
- Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work overnight weekend shifts (Thursday–Monday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
- Ability to lift light materials (10–20 lbs.) and stand or sit for extended periods
- Healthcare, call center, or dispatch experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls from public and internal customers, including employees and visitors
- Document and dispatch work requests accurately and efficiently
- Monitor environmental security alarms (doors, gates, CCTV, parking lot intercoms)
- Assist with workflow and assignment coordination for patient transport teams
- Support special projects and provide feedback for process improvements
- Perform all duties with professionalism, courtesy, and attention to detail
- Reassign duties as needed to support department operations
- Maintain compliance with safety and health guidelines in an indoor healthcare setting
